How customers pay with PayID

How customers pay with PayID

PayID offers a fast, secure and convenient way to pay directly from your bank account. Instead of entering a BSB and account number, you can simply use your mobile banking app to complete the payment using the PayID details provided.

If a business accepts PayID through MuliPay, you can complete your payment in just a few simple steps.

What is PayID?

PayID is a modern payment method powered by Australia’s New Payments Platform (NPP). It allows payments to be made using a unique identifier, such as a registered mobile number or email address, instead of a traditional BSB and account number.

It’s designed to make account-to-account payments faster, simpler and more secure while using your existing online or mobile banking app.

How to pay with PayID

Step 1: Open your payment request

Open the MuliPay payment link or checkout page provided by the business.

Select PayID as your preferred payment method.

Step 2: Pay using your banking app

You’ll be presented with a PayID email address and QR code.

Simply:

  • Scan the QR code using your mobile banking app, or
  • Copy the PayID email address and use it within your banking app.

Review the payment details and authorise the payment through your bank.

Step 3: Payment confirmed

Once your payment has been successfully completed, MuliPay automatically detects the transaction and displays a Payment Successful confirmation.

You may also receive a confirmation from your bank, depending on your financial institution.
